Tirupati, February 18, 2025 — Telugu actor Manchu Manoj sustained a minor eye injury during a media encounter outside the Tirupati SP camp office. The injury happened when a media microphone logo hit his eye as reporters gathered for a statement about a recent police altercation.
Manchu Manoj Eye Injury Incident
Manchu Manoj visited the SP camp office to meet SP Harshavardhan Raju and discuss an incident at an F5 restaurant in Bhakarapeta. As he left the office, media personnel rushed for comments. In the commotion, a microphone logo struck his eye, causing a minor injury. The actor left without speaking to the media.
Police Altercation Explained
The altercation occurred when police officers, during a routine patrol, inspected a private guesthouse near Bhakarapeta. Manoj, present at the scene, argued with a Sub-Inspector (SI). In a later video statement, he defended himself, saying he had not misbehaved and cooperated with law enforcement.

“I did not do anything wrong. I have all the records to prove my innocence. I have always supported the police and respected the law,” Manoj stated in the video.
He further alleged that officers initially claimed to be from the Chief Minister’s office to intimidate him. When questioned about the CM’s name, the officers changed their narrative, saying they were there for security reasons.
Family Dispute and Allegations
The actor also mentioned ongoing family disputes that have attracted media attention. He said his fight is for students and the community and won’t stop despite efforts to discredit him.
“Some people think I will get scared, but that will never happen in this lifetime,” Manoj said.
