Prudhvi Raj recently spoke at the pre-release event of Vishwak Sen’s film ‘Laila’. During his speech, he made remarks intended to entertain the audience. However, he alleges that YSR Congress Party (YCP) supporters misinterpreted his words and spread false narratives about him.

Harassment & Legal Action
According to Prudhvi, over the past two days, his phone has received around 1,800 calls after his number was allegedly shared in YCP social media groups.
He also stated that his wife, mother, and children faced online abuse. The mental stress from the harassment reportedly led him to seek hospital treatment.
In response, he has officially lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police. Additionally, he revealed that he has gathered evidence against an individual named Anil, who allegedly spread defamatory content about him online.
Prudhvi Raj has also announced his intention to escalate the issue by meeting Andhra Pradesh’s Home Minister and filing a ₹1 crore defamation lawsuit against those responsible for the harassment.

Prudhvi Raj is no stranger to political controversies, having previously been associated with YCP. However, he asserts that his comments at the event were purely for entertainment and not politically motivated. He accused political groups of unfairly dragging him into controversy.
